Dr. Omar Hussein graduated from the faculty of Medicine at The Ain Shams University in Egypt. Dr. Hussein completed his internship at The Berkshire Medical Center in Massachusetts and then his neurology residency at The Louisiana State University in Shreveport, LA. He also completed two clinical fellowships at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. After graduation, Dr. Hussein joined the University of New Mexico as an Assistant Professor of Neurology

Areas of Specialty: acute inpatient care, specifically in Neurocritical Care, Neuro-hospital Medicine, Cerebrovascular diseases, inpatient/ICU EEG, transcranial Doppler, Tele-stroke, and tele-neurology.
